Education Manager - 7 years
As Education Manager employed by the Tasmanian Council on AIDS, Hepatitis & Related Diseases I was responsible for health promotion program planning and management, community development projects, volunteer program coordination, social marketing, campaign development, implementation & evaluation. This role also included internet based counselling, chairing advisory & program working groups, policy development and social research.
Chief Health Editor - 4 years
Developed and coordinated a regular health column for the popular Sauce Street Press magazine targeting the youth market covering music, entertainment, arts, culture & lifestyle.
Counsellor - 12 years
Wide ranging counselling experience in different areas involving face to face, telephone & internet based modes of counselling in the following areas: GLBTI/sexual health (TasCAHRD), sexual assault forensic counsellor (Sexual Assault Support Service), suicide counselling (Lifeline)
Lecturer / Tutor - 2 years
Worked as a lecturer and tutor with Monash University teaching anatomy and physiology to medical and dental undergraduate students.
Medical Practitioner - 15 years
Worked as a medical practitioner in varying roles over 15 years in both public and private hospitals in Tasmania, interstate and overseas in specialist training programs as well as in a locum capacity

Awards and Recognition
Community Well-Being Award in the Community Services Division in 2009 at the biennial Rainbow Awards
The Man2Man Program was awarded the Community Well-Being Award in the Community Services Division in 2009 at the biennial Rainbow Dinner & Awards for its work in re-establishing an emphasis on the sexual health of men who are attracted to other men, as well as for effectively reaching out to men in all parts of Tasmania but notably those in the North & North West of Tasmania. Recognition was also given to its online outreach work resulting in increased numbers of men accessing sexual health services & its effective establishment of relationships with local government, services & groups in regional Tasmania.
Quality Management Services (QMS)
Most recently the Man2Man Program was given special mention for innovation in service delivery in the External Quality Review of TasCAHRD, conducted by Quality Management Services (QMS).
